Limiting limits

Post by mrszebra »

Hi all, I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find any info. What might be the lifting limits of a parcel that a delivery driver can lift on to a van for her DPR rounds.

There are limits to parcel sizes that RM are supposed to carry before it becomes necessary that they should be Parcelforce items,
however limits to what any particular 'delivery driver can lift on to a van' should be dynamically assessed. We are not all built the same
so what person A can lift might not be what person B can lift. There should be a consultation with manager about what can be done
i.e two person lift in the depot and at delivery point, trolley provided etc., I've known singleton colleagues to get the recipient to help
at the other end or just drop off a 739 saying 'Collect from PO/CSP' without taking the item out with manager's prior agreement!

Very true, wise words - working within your own capabilities as such.
