Returning back to work

I've been sick off with a head injury, and this is my 3rd week: Ist was Self Cert, next 2 were Drs sicknote. I'm planning on going back in next Monday.
Work has had all the info etc, plus I've gone in to see the manager, so they know the score. ( No contact from ATOS etc.)

This week - Thursday - I've got to have a cortisone injection to try to sort out long-term AOD injury, which is still giving me significant problems.
( Just happens to fall now, after waiting for many months.)
According to my Physio, I have to take it "very easy" for 5 days post injection, to ensure it takes full effect. So by Tuesday, if it works, I "should" be ok.

So...What do I need to do to inform the office? Ring them this week stating my Return to Work date next Monday, and mention the injection?
Or...just contact them to inform them of my return to work next Monday, and say nothing about the injection/recovery?
( I don't want them to think I'm going back, and swinging the lead til Tuesday.)

I'm hoping the injection will sort out once-and-for-all a problem that's given me grief for 16 months. Physio say's it can have dramatic effects. Fingers crossed, eh?

( If it really works, I'll be waiting for Warren Gatland's call to wear the Red Shirt this weekend, LOL!)

if youre AOD is in theAOD BOOK then yould should be ok !!

If work are aware of the AOD and the injection is because of that then they should be informed so they have a full picture of the progress of your recovery etc.

If you have a sick note that covers you for the whole of the period you mention this when you call they may think your a good egg for arranging while your off.

Yep. I'll call in on the way to the hospital to let them know "Oh, what's occurin'?!"
