TOILETS ON DELIVERY WITH A LARGE PROSTATE

were do we stand on toilets on delivery ,

in the winter i have to go at least ten times on my round on a quiet day .
and have recently been moved to cover this round whilst we are on a resign .
the round has numerous toilet stops . and is ideal ,so when it came to me to pick a round it had only just been grabbed . the lad before me whom is senior to me by a couple of months took it and to make matters worse . he has only been in our office about a year , got a transfer from full time , dropped his hours for the job to part time, and boom back to full time with a nice round to go with it . i go into office there are only 4 rounds left i with every tuesday off with 1 toilet stop though it is near my house ,2 were i used to deliver and a nightmare of a cycle back with 1 toilet . 3 and 4 both the same 1 toilet stop. i feel as though my 10 years at royal mail are a joke . any body with any ideas cheers

if you are on the same round all the time then i am sure if you ask your customers they would let you use there toilet

something i do to overcome the problem,of lack of toilets is by not drinking water or soda drinks as they go down quick, and drink lucozade - for me that takes 4/5 hours to go down :P

is this a DDA issue , has there been reasonable adjustments ? - I'd get that looked into and the Union Branch involved . Secondly it could be dangerous to become dehydrated in this weather .

Should the dom not make arrangements with certain customers for the use of their toilets, and these should be listed in the walklog.

agree ! - could be embarrassed or feel that you're putting on people next thing RM will be saying that you are too slow , doesn't exactly fit in with those geo route timings they've fiddled and bullied people with

WELFARE CONSIDERATIONS
Due to the potential for delivery staff to be away from the 'workplace' for extended periods of time it is necessary to ensure there is suitable and sufficient access to welfare facilities particularly sanitary conveniences. These should be identified as clean, secure and accessible to staff at the appropriate times during the delivery. This selection process should be conducted by a manager and employee representative who should, ideally, visit the facilities to ensure that they are suitable in every respect. It would be desirable for the information identifying these facilities to be recorded on the planning tool and included in the 'walk/delivery log' to remove any ambiguity over the arrangements for welfare access.

I would suggest that the employee representative in this instance should be the unit/workplace health and safety rep and failing there being one then the unit/workplace IR Rep.

I once worked with a bloke who had Colitis Ulcerous ? Colitis? It meant he often had to have a pony very quickly, sometimes not much warning and er hem, tortoise head. He had a card given him by hossy, so if he flashed the card to a shop keeper they knew he was not the usual bog ponce but a genuine case. Surely your quack could arrange one if they still exist that is.

If you have a van, dont do what a bloke in our office did, and clime in the back of van and pee in a mek box. he never thought about the holes in the bottom.

cheers for all the posts i could have signed for a local round with my house near by,
but the manager the tw at has made it a round that has,
wait for it . every tuesday off so that has gone out of the window
in the end iv,e chosen 1 with one toilet and pray there is another resign soon as we have a few retirements coming up . once again thanks for all the posts.
