hi having left royal mail in november 2010 through ihr i did not take my pension.I am 56 years of age and worked at royal mail for 13 and half years.Is it worth taking my pension now or waiting till i am 60 as i am not paying anything else in to it.

Suppose that really depends on your financial situation and work situation. Remember, if you take a pension earlier than the normal retirement age (NRA) you will lose 5% per year for every year you took it early. Also remember that the NRA is now 65, not 60. That means that any pension built up after the cut off date for NRA at 60, will be subject to a reduction. Contact pensions dep. for a better and more accurate idea of what you would get.
