Hi Robert,
Advised by a colleague to try & ask for
Your help with my R M pension,
I turn 65 next month & haven’t heard anything from Royal Mail regards my pension which I have been told finishes at 65.
Contacted the Pensions yesterday & was told they would write to me in the next few weeks,
37 years service, Also paid AVC for the last 10 years, which I found out yesterday is with Scottish widows,
Any advice greatly appreciated,
No idea of any cash lump sums or what my monthly pension might be, read a previous post from you, saying they should have wrote to me 3 months ago

Re: NRA 65 Benefits
Hi, I've just checked the RM pensions site and, if you are still working for RM, you can continue to build up your 65 benefits after your 65th birthday. Here is a link to the RM pensions site https://www.royalmailpensionplan.co.uk/ they have a video explaining when you can take your benefits. It may be worth phoning the pensions helpdesk and asking about advantages and disadvantages of taking 65 benefits while you are working for RM.
