Scottish Widows

I have deleted my recent post relating to problems with access to the money4life website. My error was incorrectly
entering my log-in ID.
Scottish Widows is part of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Hi Robert,
I was not aware, I was under the impression this was a recent change as when I could not log-in I was sent an email
secureemail@lloydsbanking.com.

Anyway I have worked for RM since 2013 part-time 20 hours. I have taken a couple of lump sums from the money4life plan. The remaining 10k i plan to take when the new RM pension starts, yet to be confirmed, probably April 2023.

I have just begun to receive my state pension yet need to continue working, not that I have a problem with working another circa 5 years. I'm only on a 4 hour day, semi-retired !.
So I am a pensioner soon to be joining a new pension scheme & thinking of paying in an extra 1%.

Any thoughts on this situation.

It makes sense to pay into the CDC Lump Sum Booster to take advantage of the extra 1% from RM.

There's nothing relevant about April 2023 for the introduction of CDC!

From a tax point of view, waiting until you've retired completely may be a better time to access your RMDCP cash? Although that's just a guess from what you've said. Without knowing your exact situation I obviously can't say for sure.

The RMCPP booklet recently received stated. What happpens next; We hope to launch the plan by the end of this year or early next year. We'll let you know when we have a launch date or if anything changes.

I was opting for the latter date of 2023, of those proposed, based on the delays so far.

"From a tax point of view, waiting until you've retired completely may be a better time to access your RMDCP cash?"
Thanks,
I will consider this option. Tax implications on the personal allowance threshold!
