NRA 65

Post by stodgy88 »

Hello might be a silly question but I know nothing regarding pensions, I have just left RM and I'm 64,starting taking my RM pension around 10 years ago, with regards NRA65, is this included in my pension now or is it something extra I receive when I reach 65.thanks.

When you took your pension you would have been given the option to take your NRA65 benefits aswell as your NRA60 benefits.

If you didn't take your NRA65 at the time, you would have presumably got an annual statement with those figures every year since, and the pensions people should contact you automatically a few months before your 65th birthday.

So if you don't know the answer yourself, then the only people who could tell you are probably the RMPP/RMSPS.

I seem to remember from your previous posts that you were also in the RMDCP via Zurich/Scottish Widows? If so, that suggests you had either already taken all your NRA60/65 benefits, or else chose to opt out of that scheme, without taking all benefits, and were enrolled into the RMDCP at some point afterwards.
