Most of the talk regarding tax relief has been about a reduction in higher rate relief down from 40%, as that equates to about 60% of the total tax relief bill. There is also the potential for a flat rate for everyone of around 25-30%, which would benefit the lower paid.
If anything is going to be scrapped completely then I think that could be salary sacrifice. It's already been diluted with the reduction in NIC's down from 12% to 10% and now 8%, and could be seen as an easy target.
