I took my NRA 60 pension early at 57 about 5 years ago but continued to work for RM. I have now left and so contacted capita about a pension supplement that was shown in the figures and was payable should I leave RM. The wording of the option 2 benefits that I took are shown below.
A reduced estimated retirement pension of £5,718.74 per annum and the maximum estimated tax free Pension Commencement Lump Sum (PCS) of £38,124.85.
This includes a temporary Transfer In Pension Supplement of £413.53 per annum payable until 17 December 2031. Your pension will therefore reduce once the temporary Pension Supplement ceases.
If you leave employment with Royal Mail Group or Post Office Limited then you will become entitled to an additional temporary Pension Supplement of £1,113.51 per annum which will be payable until 17
December 2031 or if you are re-employed by Royal Mail Group or Post Office Limited.
The Supplement quoted above may be subject to an actuarial reduction if paid before Normal Age.
After many months of trying to sort this payment they have now said my additional supplement payable upon leaving RM is now increased to £1362 pa but they are taking off the temporary transfer in pension supplement off(413) which is now £520 off that figure leaving me with £842 payable.
Does anyone know if this is correct as the wording indicates tha I would be paid the full supplement until state pension age ?.

Re: NRA 60 supplement
It's sounds as if you transferred another pension into the RM scheme at some point in the past?
If so, I believe you're entitled to a supplement relating to that element of your pension when you take your benefits and up to state pension age, even if you're still employed by RM.
I assume you reach SPA on 17 Dec 2031?
I've never come across this before and to be honest I don't know the answer. But the wording you quote, does seem to suggest you'll be entitled to both supplements until SPA now you've left RM employment.
My only suggestion is to contest it with RMSPS/Capita.

Re: NRA 60 supplement
I did indeed transfer a personal pension in to the RMSPS during the 90s. The lady I spoke with today is saying that the transferred in pension supplement is included in the additional supplement figures I was given. However she agreed with me that the wording indicates I would receive the full supplement and would put a query on the figures supplied and get back to me. I left 6 months ago and it’s taken many phone calls to even to get to the point they are investigating this issue,RobertT wrote: ↑Today, 19:35It's sounds as if you transferred another pension into the RM scheme at some point in the past?
