Class 1 Licence

Hi guys, I'm wondering if RM still train up lorry drivers nowadays? I know 2 guys who were both trained (but well over 20 years ago).

Contact the Distribution manager of your local MC. If they don't know, chances are they'll be able to point you in the right direction

Hi postie. I'm changing up my licence from B to C1. I asked the distribution manager at my D/O and she told me that I had to do the following:

Initial CPC Mod 2 + 4 to get DQC (recommend HGV Training Center, very good, they'll advise you further regarding D2 + D4 forms and medical)

Once you have that sorted, RM will either train you to do the rest or pay for an external to do it for you.

I will be absolutely amazed if that actually happens. Its hard enough transfering to distribution when you've paid for your own licence, getting them to pay for it too just doesn't happen anymore.

Yep more chance of Boris Johnson doing the 100 Meters in 8.99 seconds get the licence and then apply or go agency!
