Sorry if this is repeated anywhere else or if some of the question is alien to staff who do not work in SD Locker.
My query is this:
Those on the receiving end of Green sleeves what do you do if their is a discrepancy in the count?
Previously when in bags, you scanned the DUN as a mails discrepancy then the items?
Now the sleeve contains multiple DUN's how on earth do you know which dun corresponds with a missing item/s?
I asked the lady who was in charge of the change from bags to sleeves what the correct procedure would be but she didn't have a clue and eventually admitted that she had never worked in a SD locker.
Some offices are terrible for mismatching items to DUN's
And it seems to me lots of corners are being cut on what should be a premium product..
Sorry if this is nonsense to many of you just a query.

Probably the easiest way to deal with it (might not be the proper way) is to just scan all the items as "Bag received without DUN"

I agree that would be the Easiest way, Quite annoying though when you have the same offices doing the same things wrong everyday and nothing ever changes.SpacePhoenix wrote:Probably the easiest way to deal with it (might not be the proper way) is to just scan all the items as "Bag received without DUN"
Surely It would only take a software update to change the maximum outward limit from 35 to 250
I am pretty sure that a lot of offices don't even bother counting the items as we receive sleeves with DUN's not removed from previous dispatches.
The whole secure mail system is a shambles.

I have never recieved the specials in bags, I have always had them in either red sleeve, but now in green ones since they were brought in.
dun notes are found in the little pocket top right inside the sleeve with another one placed with the letters inside the same sleeve.
I also have all of the offices tracked letters which need signing for in the sleeve along with any pre 9 inside a seperate green bag ( but these items will be included on one of the dun notes for the DO.
Greenford in my sending MC.

You are in a D.O.?
The person who does your mail is doing the job properly (other than mixing tracked in with the specials).
You are lucky
Try working in a mail centre and seeing how the mail comes in from certain other mail centres
