Mail Centre Dress Code

Post by MarkPW87 »

Hi folks, I'm starting a Christmas Casual role soon at one of Royal Mail's mail centres and I wondered if anyone knew what the dress code was. I know that staff must wear safety shoes but is there anything else I should/shouldn't wear when working in the mail centre? Thanks

Don't wear a cheap suit or you might get mistaken for a manager! :Very Happy

Seriously though you can wear just about anything except clothing with captions/slogans/affiliations that might cause offence.
Best to wear something comfortable as you will likely be standing and moving around most of the day.
You will be given a high vis vest and probably gloves to wear.

Safety shoes aren't compulsory, most of the casuals I've seen, tend to wear trainers or comfortable shoes that includes myself, as no way would I spend 12hrs in clomping heavy safety shoes. Casual is just that jeans, Tees etc just no offensive slogans.
