Casual selection

It seems to be quite apparent within Greenford MC anyway, that Senior Management is using a pool of casual staff (the same casual staff) week in week out and yet there is a larger pool of part timers that are not able to sign up for overtime. Surely the rates are the same? And moreso, potentially more efficient workforce?

For example, Wednesday just gone....
Part timers who signed up for OT on Tuesday for the next day, didnt receive any call up but for some bizarre reason, casuals were called in on Wednesday.
Additionally, on Friday there was insufficient workload, however casuals were bought in.

Is there any staff/workload monitoring/modelling conducted to enable Senior Managers to plan this or this on a whim?

Does anyone else experience this or am i a lone wolf?

A week rolls by, and yet the same happens.
Clearly Senior Management favour certain individuals.....
I am no conspiracy theorist but this is getting out of hand....

Postman always should get priority for OT over casuals,see your Area Processing Rep,if no joy, contact CWU HQ.

But isn't that considered 'Best Practice' at Greenford ?? certainly was when I was there (most corrupt MC I have ever worked at).

Postmen definitely get in over casuals, if this isn't happening get the union on it, the only time this is not the case is at Christmas, the Xmas casuals get in over posties for some stupid reason.
