Watched a 2 min video on the new telementry as they are planning to launch the new telementry during May

Any Nottingham drivers on here who have used it as it was trialled in Nottingham. Let us know ur experiences

Also apparently they have a dashboard cam too but until agreement is reached with CWU they will remain switched off

it must be getting close to this going live now,we had training which to be fair was inept. a 2 minute journey along the estate the mail centre is in then input some info then back. they say this is for safe driving etc, but i really wonder if this is a spying tool for unscheduled stops and the like,and could further down the line this be used as a conduct issue? also there is a red button on the dash board don't press it,i pressed it while stuck in traffic and the next thing my name was mentioned and they knew exactly where i was when i pressed it.

I would imagine it will also be used to find gaps in the workload to fill and how many hours to take out, if you follow your 318 to the letter, you can ensure they won't have room to manoeuvre, the writing is on the wall, this may well be cascaded down to vans in our delivery units.

If this doorstep collection takes off it could play a key role. You can imagine drivers being sent out and having new pickups added to this unit on the fly.
