Hi all. New here.
Since it is a delicate matter i will not mention place or names.
My office was going some changes in past year.
However before the changes i change the departments i work for.
However i kept my locker.
Now because of changes whole place is undergoing, all lockers were moved to different floors.
Before that all lockers was requested to be emptied -so i have been told - yet it seems information was only within that department.
Since i change contracts i work only weekends, and no official announcements were in place i never had a knowledge of this.
As result of moving our lockers, all belongings were place in RM bags and dumped unsecured for everyone to take whatever they wish if unchallenged.
Floor is abandoned by now and you will not see anyone there.
I received email from my old boss saying that at least part of my belongings were retained and sealed in a bag. And i can pick them up from other manager.
However my items are missing and there is no one responsible for this.
1.What is the procedure for (force)opening lockers with out presence or consent of the keeper?
2.Should the keeper be notified or present or requested to be present when opening lockers??
3.Can they just discard my belongings to the open- unsecured??
4. are there any restrictions what sort of private items we may store in our locker?
5. Should there be composed an official list of findings when lockers found not empt??? Sort of protocol??
Would appreciate any help and guidance what to do next. I thinking of a grievance and if necessary involve outside lawyer if have to.
This thing may go ill. Because Office managers of higher ranks were involved or new of it.

Re: Locker Security
You were given prior notice lockers were moving.
