Collection Status At Heathrow Worldwide DC

Hi. I have parcels coming in which have reached Heathrow Worldwide DC. The status is down as 'collected'. Is this normal? This is the first time its happened. I normally see that its 'received in UK'.

Also any idea why China Airmail has become slower. A month or so ago it was soo quick.

Could be the current political upheaval in Hong Kong. Historically because there was a UK military presence there most mail for the UK came through there. It may not have changed.

Hi. Does anyone know why the status of a tracked parcel says collected location Heathrow Worldwide DC? I have not gone to Heathrow Worldwide DC.

As you can't collect from HWDC anyway my guess is that it was scanned incorrectly.

Its probably processing through customs as we speak - unhappily if there is a problem, or the Border people are doing extra checks it can take quite a while to get through.

Patience is the key now. Keep checking, it should arrive at some point.

ok thanks. I did contact Royal Mail who say track & trace indicates international mail reached Heathrow Worldwide DC on 8th October 2014 but theres nothing else after that. They then went on to say to contact the sender whom should contact the delivery company used to investigate this further should it lead to lost mail. No mention of why the status is stated as collected.

Hi again. I did receive the parcel in the end. Tracking here in the UK was not as it should be. Other items that come in have 'received in UK' which follow on with a delivered status after it has been signed for but the ones that I have had with collected as status when come into the UK haven't had further track points, only as collected. I now have another with collected. Although the majority of parcels do get through all the way to the destination address I do find it a problem that incorrect statuses are put in to tracking. Could this be looked at by management?

Also I don't think all post going outbound from China goes to Hong Kong. They do use other airports for outbound International mail. A few months ago China post was soo quick. I mean once cleared from China customs and put on a flight the post would get to the UK in next to no time 1/2 days max. It now takes at least 4/5 days. I did read China post become really popular around that time and now China post have rerouted post to slow it down which doesn't make sense. Wouldn't they want to take business from the other mailing services
