Bristol MC to monitor collection traffic

Post by GT750rider »

I heard from a reliable source today that Bristol Mail Centre are going to monitor their collections for 8 weeks starting next week.
This is due to the impact the collections that would have been handled by Gloucester are having. Bristol have been taking Gloucestershire's collections for getting on for 9 months.
You would have thought those in charge ( I use the term loosely ) would have worked that one out prior to Gloucester closing - - or am I missing something ?

Very little if any work seems to be done beforehand as to whether the work that they're moving to another office will actually get there on time and not have a detrimental impact on q of s, it seems that it is these 3 into 1 offices that are having big problems clearing and maybe rm will realise that big isn't always beautiful, I would have thought that you could control costs better in a smaller environment but they seem to know best, I maybe agree that with the right machinery one office depending on logistics could do the collections for a large area but the inward mail I believe should be sorted locally
