monthly/weekly pay

Does HR / Wages dept allow royal mail staff to change from weekly pay to monthly pay ? Would it be a good idea for Royal mail to these changes ? How beneficial would it be ?

The only way to change from weekly to monthly pay is join the dark side.

There was a time when changing to monthly pay meant the business could save a great deal in HR costs, I remember the NHS about 15-20 years ago went to monthly pay but now that most of the payroll stuff is automated there isn't a great deal in it. You could argue that with having such a huge paybill Royal Mail could make money from holding on to our wages for 4 weeks but interest rates are piss poor.
There aren't many of us weekly paid bods left though, even my eldest boy who only works 12 hours a week while he's at Uni gets paid monthly and he's on minimum wage...fecking shysters..
