What is the maximum amount of SD (special Delivery ) items /bags/yorks allowed to be carried in a 7.5t vehicle according to the SD Conveyance Standards ?

It is all laid out in Royal Mail guidelines re security of Mail talk to your Area Rep as he'll def know these guidelines also apply to small van collections to. I can't tell you off hand but it might be an idea to call CWU HQ on this one too if you can't get hold of your Area Rep. By the way the management will have said guidelines but sometimes they can be arseholes in giving you the info.

I assume this is for local distribution runs? There is no absolute standard, it would be subject to a security risk assessment in order to take into account factors such as the level of security at load/unload point, the type/value of items etc. The guideline is

Level 0 100
Level 1 150
Level 2 500

Assuming there is not a large proportion of high value items.
