The truth is the professor has never failed at a company because the system is so comprehensive. RM has just made some BS because they want to monopolise and institutionalize the system using people like Freshwater and Jervis. The fact is WCM is so powerful because its a stand alone system the departure of the professor who is an old man and could no way get it up is simply a setup due to the failure of the management team.

Rm systematically removed anybody who was good at WCM, including one guy who is now the head of World Class at CityLink. What WCM did was show up the waste from the value exposing a lot of managers and cliques. Basically it was too much like real change and a lot of managers didnt push it properly because they either couldnt due to there own stupidity or didnt wasnt the politically strife or risk to there cushy gigs.

The fact is WCM works, RM doesnt WCM is all about culture change and culture change at royal mail would mean useless managers loosing there jobs a return to basics and team.

There is nobody inside RM who is capable or suitable to run WCM.
