Sorry, I am new to this forum.
Just simple question.
I sent letter to Russia and it left UK on 21 of January, but it arrived to Russia only on the 2-nd of March. Russian news said that all mail is now sent to Turkey to sort out and then only transported to the destination countries. I called to Royal Mail customer, the said that letter was sent to Moscow first and then to the address, but they did not have prof that letter was received in Moscow. Usually I can track all the mail on Russian Post site, but this time information shown that letter arived to S-Petersburg on the 2nd of March. And Royal Mail could not explain where the letter was between these dates.

With the occasional suggestion of mail going missing at HWDC, doesn't that massive chimney in the photo look a bit suspicious ?fishtank wrote:Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre

Russia
Start date: Tuesday 13th November 2012 (updated 10th April 2013)
End date: Ongoing
Problems within Russia Post operations at Moscow DME Airport and at their processing facilities in Moscow are continuing. This is causing delays for Royal Mail items due for delivery in the country.. Royal Mail is working with Russia Post to both quantify the length of the delays expected and also to work on ways to minimise any of these delays.
