Advanced Driver Coach – Payment of Allowance

Branches will be aware from the content of LTB 571/12 that the agreed Advanced Driver Coach role was launched on the 1st August 2012. An accreditation process has been ongoing for existing Network Driver Coaches with coaches due to take up the new responsibilities and receive the enhanced allowance from the point that the accreditation is attained.

The business have informed the department that as a result of the migration to the PSP system in Network coinciding with the launch, it will not be possible to incorporate the new enhanced allowance into PSP in time for the August salary cut off date for Network Drivers.

While this is not ideal the business have provided assurances that any accredited Advanced Driver Coaches taking up the role during August will have full entitlement to the enhanced payment from the date of commencement. All arrears will be paid in full and the business
intention and expectation is that arrangements will be in place to do so in the September salary.
