Really quick payslip question

Post by Shedimus »

Hi guys, tried searching for an answer and usually find the forums to have the most informed and truthful answers!

The question is whether we get paid a week in lieu or paid for the week we work?
Just got a job upstairs in the MC and this weeks payslip is still only for 14 hours!
I know that overtime is paid in lieu but never been able to tell/remember about contract hours!

Cheers :nana

I'm sure your contracted hours are paid the same week but overtime is a week behind

Contracted hours paid in the week of work, overtime following week.

Dunno, haven't seen my payslip for 2 weeks......

Lost in the system, apparently!!!
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Overtime paid week later, contractual work done this week - paid THIS week.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
