Job Description

Role Purpose:

This role is to provide advice and guidance on HR and operational issues on a consultative basis to employees affected by mail centres rationalisation in making decisions about their futures. The role holder will from time to time be accountable for the day to day running of a Clear Choice Centre in a Mail centre that is part of a regional rationalisation project providing a One stop shop advice and support to those affected.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work across a full range of shifts including some weekends assisting employees and giving advice and support to those affected in making decisions about their future.
Take ownership of questions & issues raised by local management, regional team, employees, union representatives and ensure feedback given in a timely manner.
Maintain the accuracy of the employee data held on the deployment team database.
To Participate in the project start up, review and close down events.
Give regular updates of progress to the site manager of activity detailed on the plan.

Skills Required:

Must have experience working in a HR environment
Ability to demonstrate personal and professional credibility and build relationships with key people, particularly in operational regions, HR and programmes.
Good communication and excellent interpersonal skills to engage at all levels.
Planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
High degree of flexibility, adaptability and working in sensitive, pressured situations.
Experience working in a rigorous project management environment.
Excellent keyboard skills with the use of MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good spelling and numeracy
Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
