I do the missort run for our office and lately 90% of the mail I bring back isn't legitimate missorted mail but stuff the mail centre has failed/can't be arsed to get onto the van in time (delete as applicable). It's becoming a regular occurence now. The DOM at the missort hub says there's nothing we can do about it either.

same story here from a delivery postman's POV. Just today at least a 1/4 of the "missorts" were a bulk mailing.

it doesnt surprise me that the so called missorts are items held up from mail centres . JUST like the old second delivery

We always used to get this. Now the MC can't even get the mail to the missort hub in time to connect with the missort run, nevermind getting it out to DOs on time. Our missort run is a total farce. We start at 0600 and the missort van leaves the office at 0700 so we have only been on the IPS about 10 mins and the missorts are being bagged up, end result is the missorts are all a day late anyway so may as well just cancel the missort run and send them back to the MC. On saturdays the missorts are normally in before the last dispatch from the MC even arrives Total waste of time and fuel.

So at 840 this morning just as we're getting ready to leave the missort hub the mail centre van turns up with 12 Yorks of mail for us to sort. Because of the time I got back to my office we didn't get out until 1030.
