LTB 739/10 - Business Transformation 2010 & Beyond Agreement - RDC Lump Sums

To All Postal Branches With RDC's
To All RDC Representatives
To All Area Distribution Representative
To All Divisional Representatives

Dear Colleague

Business Transformation 2010 & Beyond Agreement - RDC Lump Sums

The commitments for Regional Distribution Centres in regard to the above mentioned National agreement was for the deployment of a standardised bag sortation segregation process in all RDC's and for the deployment of a unit efficiency review by the end of Summer 2010.

In line with the engagement, development and planning paragraph of the Network section of the National agreement a Network Working Group was established and led on behalf of the department by Mick Kavanagh, PEC, to oversee this activity and to ensure CWU input into the design of the new standard bullring.

Since the end of June consultation/engagement has been taking place, both at local and National level, regarding the issues of a standardised bullring and efficiency revisions and we are confident that the timescales of deployment by the end of Summer 2010 and the payment of £200 lump sums, pro rata for part timers, will be achieved.

Against that backdrop please find attached confirmation of the agreed standard bullring which will be supported by Health & Safety guidelines that have been agreed and are currently being produced. Whilst the attached document carries an aspiration and expectation that the revisions and standard bullring can be deployed by mid September the business has confirmed that as soon as deployment dates are agreed we can seek authorisation for the payment of the lump sums.

Branches are requested to ensure that our RDC representatives are made aware of the contents of this LTB.

Any enquiries in relation to this LTB should be addressed to Terry Pullinger, Assistant Secretary, email dwyatt@cwu.org, quoting reference 231.

Yours sincerely

Terry Pullinger
Assistant Secretary

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
