You beat me to it,i was going to bring that point up as well,as far as i know the 45 hours of is every 2 weeks.....example,if you are mon-fri,you can do sat & sun overtime, then your mon-fri again, but then the 45 hour break must be taken. As far as i have been told the shifts for 600 drivers at the new Sth Midlands mail center are either mon-fri or tues-sat.......i off course stand to be corrected if i've given wrong info

You need 24 hrs off first week then 2nd week you need 45hr. If in doubt ask I only drive now and then but you can always find some one to give you a basic idea Oh and you can't do more than 60 hrs work so keep an eye on your docket too.

if you don't get the full 45 hours off one week you have to pay back what you don't get off by the end of the 3rd week so if you only have 36 hours one week then you have to have 45 hours off the next week plus you have to pay back the missing 9 hours by the end of week 3.
so long as youre not a sad git who does loads of ot every week it works ok as you have to average out your ot every 6 months eg the average must not exceed 48 hoursso you could hammer it in for a week and have a quiet few weeks.and you can't work more than 60 hours a week, excluding meal reliefs.
