Don't know they may have special rules about EVR with this age group - if your interested it might be worth researching it. Post it here if you find the answermikip50 wrote:evr,s are being handed out in edinburgh mc, 2yrs wages except

Those under 55 would get VR (Voluntary Redundancy) of up to 104 weeks, depending on length of service.mikip50 wrote:evr,s are being handed out in edinburgh mc, 2yrs wages except

That would also apply to people over 60 who have already taken their pensions and have come out of the pension scheme.
The people between 55-60 (and those over 60 who have not taken their pension yet) would not get VR,
but would get EVR (Early Voluntary Retirement) which would be their (enhanced) pension plus 26 weeks redundancy
compensation. Obviously this would cost RM more, so I think that is why they may not be offering it.
EVR is currently being offered to people over 55 in my MC, so it would seem that the policy in your region
must be different.

Again this might be due to a cost consideration in your Region, but after October VR/EVR is supposed to be basedred1968 wrote:At Crewe VRs are being given out to 55s and over.
