northampton mail centre

I heard today that the new mail centre in northampton is now up and running.i believe this was a merger of 3 centres,northampton.milton keynes and coventry.interesting to know if the staff from mk and cov are commuting and if so how long is it adding to their day.

I believe there are approx 40 staff transfering from MK to the Watford mail center processing staff and drivers,i think they start the end of this month,by the looks of things they'll only be there for a couple of years and on the move again :crazy:

I work in MK and there are over 40 duties starting on monday the 28th June . Leaving about 15 full timers left in MK. Good Luck to those going to watford you'll be soon dealing with the No Choice Centre's once again :crazy:

We were told at 5am on Saturday morning that the LU mail is now being done at Watford...
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

It's the setup RM have implemented to aid the migration of staff to the new MCs and it's properly called Clear Choice. Sadly, in the experience we've had it's been anything but clear, and there's been no real choice for the vast majority of people involved. Sorry if that sounds a bit bleak :neutral: hopefully, they'll improve things as they do it elsewhere.

So it's basically a revamped version of the old preference excercises, is it?

Sorry if i did'nt explain the clear choice centre's purpose on hear i do apologise for that . The centre in Milton Keynes was next to useless is sent most people in the mail centre :nana :nana :nana thats putiing it nicely :Very Happy
