"good old days" VS NOW!

Just thinking about when i first started at the then MLO best part of 15yrs ago,we had less manchines,less staff,yet used to finish about 15mins early per shift,not unusual for at least 1 day a week half hr early,hardly ever failed dispatch,yet RM tell us we are losing 10% year on year,more "hitech/updated"machinery then ever,but we are lucky to make 5mins.One of the main reasons is that back then most of the managers were what i call"old school"Mainly family men,understood the pressures of life(If you needed a few hrs to sort a problem at home,no problem).Now most of the managers at the MC are kissass young muppets who quite happily stab each other and anyone else in the back.Total YES men/women who toe the partyline given from their shift/MC managers,totally afraid to stand up to anyone senior,even if they know its the right thing to do.Royal Fail is run on fear of saying or doing the wrong thing in the eyes of any senior managment,hence the s**t we all find ourselves in today.The saddest thing is unless the whole top tier of managment is removed its just going to get worse,and i can't see that ever happening..............

very much the emperor's new clothes , the emperor in a APC / DC being the LSM , MCM , DCM etc , and we all know what happened to the Emperor . This is the case all the way up to 148 Old St .
