I work in the Dorset Mail centre and we are being told that the late shift manager is actively trying to cancel all our s/a for night workers,s/a for early staff in the afternoon and any pressure overtime. In effect all overtime is going within the mail centre for the afternoon and evening, plugged by changes of duties for collections drivers and part-time recruitment of new staff!!
Its very worrying for people who rely on this money just to get by!!
Our union leaders are registering disagreements but who knows where it is going!!
Anybody else experiencing such sudden losses in overtime?

Only the favoured few get OT in my DO but even that's being curtailed (I haven't done ANY OT since Christmas 07 and I haven't missed it at all).

Let him come out with you. Every house he delivers to, make him go back and shut the gate as "the customer doesnt like it when you leave it open!" or "Dont cross the lawn/garden/fence as customer doesnt like it!" He will soon get peed off with that and wont question your OT again!

In my DO we are about to lose all our SA hours. We are losing all our SA collections to make duties for the drivers coming over from our MC which is due to close in a few months. We are also losing out IPS SAs as the first wave will not arrive until 6am.
