LTB 154/25 – National Network Review (Network 25) – Deployment Date Update
No. 154/25
25th July 2025
For the Immediate Attention of All:
Postal Branches
Divisional Representatives
Area Distribution Representatives
LGV Representatives
Dear Colleagues,
National Network Review (Network 25) – Deployment Date Update
Branches and Representatives will be aware that LTB 139/25 issued on the 9th July 2025, provided notification of the deferral of the 28th July 2025 as the agreed target deployment date for the National Network Review (Network 25).
We can report that further discussions have taken place with Royal Mail and a revised deployment date has been agreed.
The Network Review will now be deployed on the 8th September 2025.
While we are confident that most VOC’s are ready to deploy, the aim will now be to ensure that any outstanding issues are resolved, through the IR Framework if necessary, and duty sets, and re-picks are concluded in readiness for the deployment date. The NWG will remain available to offer advice and assistance where necessary.
Branches and representatives are requested to ensure that our Network members are made aware of the contents of this LTB at the earliest opportunity.
Any enquiries in relation to this LTB should be addressed to Davie Robertson, Assistant Secretary, email: jrodrigues@cwu.org quoting reference LTB 154/25.
Yours sincerely,
Davie Robertson
Assistant Secretary

LTB 154/25 – National Network Review (Network 25) – Deployment Date Update
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I assume this is related to streamlining moving stuff between mail centres, parcel hubs and do's but does it affect do's in any way, we get an early truck with most of the stuff Inc the sequence trays before we start, don't know what time it arrives then a 2nd one later after 8am whilst IPS is still going with more parcels and some (generally not much) manual mail.
Is this typical ?

Is Davey saying, that due to OFCOM not amending the delivery standards, we will now not be delivering 2c every other day from 28th July, but will instead defer until 8th September when a new ODM idea may have been farted out?ted_e_bear wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 15:19I assume this is related to streamlining moving stuff between mail centres, parcel hubs and do's but does it affect do's in any way, we get an early truck with most of the stuff Inc the sequence trays before we start, don't know what time it arrives then a 2nd one later after 8am whilst IPS is still going with more parcels and some (generally not much) manual mail.

’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

It's the movement of stuff between MCs, hubs and RDCs. Network must have all their staff on a rotor, we seem to see different people each day who’ve brought an artic to the MCted_e_bear wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 15:19I assume this is related to streamlining moving stuff between mail centres, parcel hubs and do's but does it affect do's in any way, we get an early truck with most of the stuff Inc the sequence trays before we start, don't know what time it arrives then a 2nd one later after 8am whilst IPS is still going with more parcels and some (generally not much) manual mail.

I think RM will just abandon the idea, all the savings they thought they were going to make have probably vanished, with all the duties and OT that they'd need to put in to make it work.
