Moving job from Rev Pro to Mail Centre floor?
Just wondering if anyone who works in the Revenue Protection has applied for a job on the Mail Centre floor and been successful with their application?

Revenue Protection is just a duty like any other duty (albeit a specialist duty). You just apply for a duty when any duties go up for signing, and the normal process for signing for duties applies.

It seems to be an issue in our Mail Centre whereas Revenue Protection staff are told we are not part of Processing and are blocked from applying for vacant duties on the Mail Centre floor.

I don't know why we still have revenue protection , they don't seem to want to surcharge anything , it's minimal the amount of items they will actually surcharge. Guess you spend all day just dealing with vagues and those without a return address.

I would say wait till there is a vacancy in processing and then apply for it , if unsuccessful and it wasn't because of seniority then see your union rep.
and put in a grievance. I can't recall if anyone did that at my mail centre , but I work nights in any case.

Revenue was removed from the selection by skills "section 15",in the Way forward agreement.
section 14 resourcing to jobs should cover you if their are difficulties, unless this agreement has been replaced.
