OK LSMs , MTTs and V3 machines are now obsolete and will be phased out of operation.

In the future mail centres will only use upgraded imps , or new iLSMs and flat sorting machines.

There will also be CSS walk sequencing machines in mail centres.

The iLSMs do the combined role of both the MTTs and the LSMs and they also can sequence mail.

The old MTTs currently do 25,000 per hour as does the LSM and the FSM.

The new iLSM does 36,500 per hour and in some mail centres have reached 40 ,000.
