However, if the Conuservarites get in then our time as a Government owned business will be quite short, or at least under a lot of pressure.
The pressure bit would be more accurate as individuals within the Conservative party may wish to see a sell off but I get the impression that offical policy woukld not be for a sell off. I forecast a battle of wills in the conservative party.

Still carrying old wounds I see, but I don't get the "clock" reference.
Perhaps I should have asked where the spare capacity could be found in a lift?
Pleased to report ,unscathed as yet
In answer to your tricky question, after long and torturous deliberation I believe I have arrived at a solution to this most perplexing conundrum - Two lifts!

If only things were that easy. Apparently there are two lifts in Portsmouth; one hydraulic and one traction. The hydraulic takes the Yorks full of outward processed mail down to the bay where they're loaded onto the various vans and lorries, and the traction takes inward + DSA etc Yorks up to the upper floors for processing.
So the problem comes when one lift is out of service. The remaining lift (and the duties associated with it) then has to do twice the work in the same time and in the same vicinity, and obviously they struggle.
So, no spare capacity on lifts in Portsmouth, and no answer to this most perplexing conundrum.

They do, regularly, and that's why there's always spare capacity built-in.

Simple, isn't it?
You know we only need one mega mail centre, located in the middle of the UK We could just put a fence around Liverpool and use that

RM don't do planning - they have planning managers but they tend to be failed ops managers or jumped up clerks - other companies can do it - but you are expecting too much
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.
