Pertemps will have to email the Driver Career Path Team to let them know you’ve passed.
Next for me is a Driver assessment with an Advanced Driver Coach.
That’s what I’m waiting for......

So. Managed to get on last years DCP and have now been passed 366 days. How many days (take out competence days) do you think I have had driving class1?

I,too are awaiting for training with a driver coach.

To the op not driven yet. Try and contact the union rep at your local VOC and see if they can help, it sort of helped for me. But I do know someone already in a VOC.

Best of luck.

Hi all, I'm a fully qualified Class 1 driver with CPC working on deliveries but my DOM said I dont stand a chance in getting a transfer to a VOC - anyone out there that can help me out and finding out who I can contact at YDC (Yorkshire Distribution Centre). Thanks in advance.

Your DIM as usual is talking out of his backside. Contact manager at YDC. Let them know you have your Class 1 and CPC up to date. They will then take you on loan week by week, then maybe long term temp. Transfer depends on how many other Class 1 drivers want a position at YDC . Then its down to seniority.

With Christmas coming up it might an idea to contact the rep at YDC to see if he can ask the Head of Distribution YDC to request a temporary transfer form your DOM for Christmas so you can gain some experience.

I’m in the process of a grievance around the Christmas bonus. I didn’t get paid the full amount.
I also was loaned out over the Christmas period to support at my local VOC.

Good luck...I find its like talking to babies.
They took the final £25 today.
They can keep the money and poke it up their arse. I've sent no end of email and left voicemail with different people in the cwu and not had a single response. "What about your rep I hear you say"... :nana this dancing nana is showing more intrest.
Been on hold for 20 mins to wages trying to see if I can cancel my union payment with no luck. How the hell can you stop a payment from your wages!!!?

If you were loaned out to network for 1 week at christmas. You lose £25 for each week you work during christmas pressure. Network drivers to not receive a christmas bonus.

I feel that we should have been told this before we committed to the Driver Career Path.... Makes me laugh - I’m pretty sure I won’t be used all year, then I’ll be used again at Christmas.... so not driven all year, and then expect me to “pick up” where I left off. Great...
