I would respond anyway. If you indicate acceptance now, it should say somewhere on the letter/form that its non binding and you can refuse it when offered.
thanks have done so, but was wanting more info on what was going on !

There are no mail centres in liverpool,it got moved to Warrington.
There are redundancies in Warrington Mail Centre, my mate finishes in April with 29k...he's very happy to say the least..
They want to send some of them to Bristol, it's failing miserably and in deep schtumm....
That was foreseen by many when Gloucester closed, and all operations went to Bristol. Quite why those employed on the transition couldn't see this, well, need I say more....
Been told there's none at Dorset mail centre now I took a buy down last time and really want to be paid off to get out but union tell me no chance for me now as part time surely that's discrimination?
Will hang on a while longer as after 28 years service don't want to leave without anything.

They want a higher percentage of part time staff compared to full time staff than they have at the moment hence they are unlikely to offer a vr to a pt staff member as they want to keep them and get rid of ft staff it's not discrimination in anyway you can take forward unfortunately
I believe it would be regarded as discrimination to only offer EVR/VR to Full Time staff. At Mount Pleasant whenever there was a EVR/VR trawl (every year), it was always offered to Part Time staff too, and many did take it.
Edit: dingo says that EVR/VR can be offered only to FT staff in Delivery Offices.
