Is there anybody out there, that has been in a mail centre closure, that were required to show their "reasonable flexibility" by travelling further than 1 hour 10 mins to their new office ?
I thought Shrewsbury to Chester was 41 miles and one hour by road or 55 minutes by train. :Very Happy

55mins from Shrewsbury train station to Chester train station.....and then no buses or pubic transport to Chester mail centre about 5miles away,so if you can walk 5 miles in 5minutes i suppose its reasonable. But i suppose they have to do that sort of pace on deliveries these days,so Royal Mail will say its fair-lol.

Sorry, I hadn't realised it was about five miles distant.

To be quite honest the talk about travelling is probably irrelevant because they haven't got any jobs for them anyway :no no . They are telling ;liar staff that there are 180 jobs available locally, thats a laugh :chuckle all they've done is preference exercises, so what they really mean is that a 180 (if thats true) people have expressed an interest in EVR in the locality. By the time people have realised how cr£p :left: the payout is they'll be lucky :arrrghhh if a third take the carrot. Spread 60'ish vacancies out over the whole region and it's going to get pretty messy with Royal Mail trying to thump lots of round pegs into square holes :d'oh! .
