WAM = Wives and Mothers. (from WAGs)

A lot of people who work in MCs aren't actually competent to be out on their own so they have to have a close relative in attendance.
So not only do you have to work with a bunch of saddos, you have to put up with either their wives and mums looking after them as well.
PS. There aren't very many wives involved.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

a wam is a work area manager and as such is to be treated with distaste and laughed at a lot,so yes just like a lie-no
who the hell invests £2 billion into a servic and makes it worse?????????????

how funny are you? i work in a mail center and i dont need anyone to wipe my backside or look after me.
as for the wam's they are a diffrent matter , if you had been in my mc this week you wouldnt have believed
what they are getting away with , and as for our so called reps they are allowing all the managment games
to keep on playing . i feel sorry for the walk posties but we are having a world class disaster happening lol

from my experience working in a mail centre the best way to describe it is like a dickensian (slave) work house... only thing thats missing is the supervisiors having whips...

you still have managers expecting you to complete unrealistic amounts of work in short time spaces... so you will feel like nothings changed... apart from not having pigeons sh*tting on you when your working... now you have to get that pleasure in your own time :Very Happy
