Most of our night crew in our section are in their late 30's / Early 40's...

BRING IT ON!!!
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

I think Stampy is referring to their IQ
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

You can just imagine it...
Half the DO staff will turn up early and stand around for an hr flexing their muscles.
Half way through half the DO staff will stop for their break.
Then the part timers will turn up.
If it's in a MC which has WCM then you'll get reps moving fights on as it's not in the taped off area.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Dont forget the drivers throwing the small MC lads back into the fray as a walker can easily deal with him....... and walkers trying to rope a few small ones together and sneak them into the drivers area.

We'd just batter them so we could be up the road 2hrs early.
Mailcentres are full of old guys working their ticket anyway.
Average age must be about 62.

I'm shaking in my boots. :chuckle
You may be right in your assumptions there Fishtank
but i'll tell you the young whippersnappers (oh yes there are one or two)
in my MC are shi**in themselves in case the Geriatrics stay on a little
longer and they end up in a D/O as nearly all of them only know indoor
work. When VR talk comes round you hear the young un's shout
"retire ya auld barsteward", can be quite funny listening to them :left:
Brickin it they are :left:
