Hemel are taking all Swindon 2C over Christmas we're told.

Does anyone know how much they currently take instead of coming to Swindon?

Watford had a meeting today the 25th telling us what we already knew that Watfords new delivery and collection office will be about half mile from its current office. Transfer stars June next year

RTD drivers to move to Hemel by September next year. There maybe some RTD duties out of Watford

It looks as if Watford & Stevenage mail centers will be re-locating to the Hemel site next July according to the brief!!! Well done to WGC,looks like the workforce there helped to keep it in Welwyn instead of moving to the Stevenage site,Watford deliveries have a new home in Caxton Way less than a mile from their present position,Kings Langley to go to Watford, providing parking issues can be resolved which rm seem sure is 99% sorted.

The Hemel site is to make another 90 car parking spaces aviable bringing the total parking spaces up to 317,i guess work on the new Hemel site will start in January as it opens as a packing sorting office this week for the xmas pressure.

Just had our preference papers and a short team brief at Watford mail center, estimated date for us to move in to the Hemel site is July 2011,if my first preference is given to me.The existing Hemel mail center is expected to move in to their new home 27th June 2011,briefings going on throughout the day and tonight,i guess the same is happening at the Stevenage office.

How are you supposed to fill in the preference papers when you have no idea what is on offer. How can I say I want to travel to Hemel when I don't know what I'll be doing?

As we are all fully aware, rumours are one of the things that keep us smiling,so here's one i heard this morning..........

........The parking issues at the new delivery office at Caxton Way Watford and the new Hemel mail center, could possibly force Royal Mail into leaving Hemel deliveries where they are now along with Berkhamstead deliveries and Kings Langley deliveries(instead of sending KL to Watford)

We have been told RM are not responsible for parking it is not their problem and they don't have to give you a space to park. So with 800+ workers and 250 spaces it looks like a few parking tickets

OK....we know Watford mail centre is to close later this year and the site has been sold (and if rumour is to be believed :Very Happy the site has to be emptied by 31st October)i hav'nt got any idea as to the progress of the new Hemel mail centre or the new Watford mpu in Caxton Way Watford,i think the date is a ambitious, the story goes Hemel & Stevenage work will go to the new mail centre first to see how they cope  !!!!!so if they dont cope whats their plan then?

Watford at the moment have a big workshop, servicing Watford vehicles,Hemel's 600's and all the units & trailers from Hatfield network,so does anyone know where the new workshops are going to be,there is room at the new Hemel site.

Is that a Logistics depot in the same building? If it's not then the workshop stuff will probably get transferred to wherever the nearest Logistics depot is.

The logistics operation is run out of Hatfield Business Park(old british areospace )there is no space at Hatfield Streamline to build workshops and it is rumoured that the Hatfield depot is earmarked for the chop, but that still beggars the question where are the vehicles from the Hemel & Watford going to be serviced, vehicle services are operated by romec,so perhaps anyone from romec on this forum can fill in the "blanks"

Perhaps they're gonna build or buy a bigger place somewhere. I don't know if it's national but logistics are meant to be taking over all distribution functions in MCs so they would then be responsible for all the 600s as well
