We have a local union meeting upcoming, which i will be attending, regarding a total RESIGN for the whole office.If/when this is agreed RM with have the means to change ANY duty time and content!I know that RM have some proposals already forwarded to the local union rep,who will no doubt tell us about them in the meeting.I have spoken to a few friendly managers who tell me they have seen the proposed new hours and content and although they cant tell me the details, have told me they are WORSE than now!

Will let you know the outcome when i have it...........
Hi Hubba
I have seen the proposals for the m/c, have you? Not good for some of the early shift ie Wed to Fri and all day Sat and Sun morning. Not much better for some of the late shift with an evening off then working Sun. Plus they have killed off most of the sa's and givin more hours to the ag's. Should be one hell of a meeting on Sunday. Game on

It will not affect deliveries, you will get your mail as normal but it will be sorted in the mail centers on Sunday (day time ) instead of Sunday night.

hubba and badwolf, i have had a look at your duties, one thing do not accept sunday in with your weekday duties once this happens you will be stuck with it.

going back to when there was sunday collections your mail centre use to have no problem in getting people to do these, i know it was just over 30 needed then,
and just over 60 is needed now, but ask why 6 am in the morning? the sunday collections was a afternoon operation.
the best way is to cover these sunday duties are on s/a, if the times were later maybe a 4-mid? then they may get people intrested, maybe a 1 in 2 etc, also this would then be available to all.
hope this helps.
