The earliest the decision will be made on mail centres in London will be Feb 9th. The consultant presented his report to Royal Mail on Wednesday and too the Divisional Committee yesterday. His report did not support Royal Mail"s perfered one mail centre plan for London.

The detail of his report including the peoples issues will have to be reviewed by Royal Mail. They have called an National Processing Group for 9th where they normally announce their perfered plan. It will be intresting if they go ahead with this meeting. Cant reveal too much but things will become clearer in due course.

Are you saying the Consultant has said the one centre plan is not viable?

Still won't stop RM "forcing" the changes in..... :arrrghhh :whistle
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

World class mail

I will comment further in due course however if anyone believes that royal mail accept that they are wasting money on this project then they need to go to one of the mail centres which have achieved the bronze award and listen to the pillar leads and they include front life staff.

I have spent the last 8 hours doing just that and they believe they have saved not hundreds not thousands but over a million. The way they anaylise every detail of every part of an operation and then video it and then study it again in order to ensure that the operation is quicker faster and cheaper Is worrying.

This is not a joke or a fad and all of us including the CWU need to wise up quickly
More to follow.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
