voluntary redundancy and smp

Post by Jobean81 »

I'm currently on my second month of smp and have just spoken to hr and they say my redundancy payment will be based partly on my smp. This doesn't seem fair when I have worked there for 12 years and also my pilon would be based on smp too?

I don't know what smp is, but MTSF VR payment (and PILON) is based on the 26 weeks pensionable pay before your LDOS (Last Day of Service).

Statutory maternity pay I guess that's not pensionable though? Something I found online says it should be calculated on my normal weeks pay or average pay. Surely it would be discrimination to calculate it on statutory maternity pay anyway?
