Just been told the shift times for Christmas and New year's eve.
Every year up to now we have had reduced hours on these two days and finished no later than 7pm.
Was told yesterday we now have to work till 9pm on both days now.
I know we have shifts to work but obviously not allowed a life outside the building.
The mail isn't going to go anywhere the following day so what screw everyone over for a few hours, which by previous Christmas's involves sitting there waiting for that mystery missing van that they always use as an excuse to keep us there.

Re: Christmas Eve/New Years Eve shift times
What's an MDEC, our D.O 6am lorry reported the mail centers empty, they' ve all gone home. Which is exactly were He was going when he had finished us, we tried to give him a bag of mis sorts but he refused, saying it ain't going anywhere so it might as well stay with us till after Christmas. Might be different this year though, but that's how it's worked every year since I started. DOM said last lorry comings got 21 yorks on, opened back 3 and they weren't full.

Re: Christmas Eve/New Years Eve shift times
We always finish before 7pm, this is an agreement in all mail centres/mdecs, which I believe is because of "transport" issues, ie no buses.musicmaniax wrote:Just been told the shift times for Christmas and New year's eve.
