Just when we thought wcm had run out of ways of patronising the keyers in Plymouth they managed to go even better than before.
We now have had a motion detector placed in the stairwell which when activated plays a recorded messge instructing you how to walk down the stairs.
Also it looks like some kids from nursery have painted hand prints and arrows along the entire handrail showing us which handrail to use.
Don't think they can insult our intelligence much further now.

Re: Back to nursery now
I know, it's so depressing. Way to alienate an entire workforce, Plymouth MDEC. Nice going.
This has gone way beyond the remit of WCM. It's not annoying or patronising any more, it's demeaning and downright offensive, and it needs to stop NOW. Seriously, enough is enough.
I object most strongly to having my intelligence insulted day after day by these misguided do-gooders who seem to work on the assumption that we are all as stupid and clueless as they clearly are. I flatter myself that I have been successfully navigating staircases since I was 2 or 3 years old (and believe me, that was a long time ago!), mostly without incident.
If the management won't do anything about this, the keyers damn well should. Some widespread non-cooperation with the more ridiculous WCM directives might - just might - make somebody in management listen.
Failing that, we should just go the whole hog and start soiling our pants en masse and screaming when we're hungry, taking this disturbing company policy of total infantilisation to its logical conclusion.

It's probably management's way of implying that they're looking after you allmusicmaniax wrote:Just when we thought wcm had run out of ways of patronising the keyers in Plymouth they managed to go even better than before.

Re: Back to nursery now
Good news everyone! Potty training starts on Monday!
And we've been told that if we're really, really good, we can do finger painting after lunch!
And let's not forget that today is "bring your favourite toy to nursery... I mean, work" day.
Living the dream, the MDEC way... Prof. Yamashina would be so proud.

It's a totally intolerable place to work now. Agree with everything that has already been said, don't know what else to add.

Some managers on the delivery side try and insist that we wear hi vis vests for walking on the pavements in broad daylight.Vim_Fuego wrote:I know, it's so depressing. Way to alienate an entire workforce, Plymouth MDEC. Nice going.

Tell them you'll only wear it if you also get a special inflatable suit to protect you in case you fall down and hurt yourself. Actually, don't. They'll probably get you one...DB1100 wrote:Some managers on the delivery side try and insist that we wear hi vis vests for walking on the pavements in broad daylight.
