We were told in our office the only option was 12 minutes off the end of each day!

MC staff should be on a lower pay scale than delivery staff and the lower rate should subsidise the pay of delivery staff. The work undertaken on delivery is physically demanding and in comparison work inside the mail centre is of a light nature. It is a well known fact that on average mail centre staff will live an average of 4.4 years longer.

Thats a different matter. FT in non revision offices should have gone to a 39hr working week (or equivalent) yesterday. This is in effect a 2.5% rise (which is what the Ptimers get) but it is not part of the annual pay rise due this year - its part of the 2010BT agreement and should not affect any discussion on this years pay award.

The points moot - this is an MDeC thread and an MDeC OP - as far as I know they are on different pay scales and awards than OPGs be they MC or DO.

However, pay rise isn't looking good after reading the story about the Post Office claim http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 18&t=50650" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - ok they are not the same firm any more but they have the same culture and approach to their staff as Royal Mail.

-5% or nothing if you let CWU drop the bullying and harassment cases they have notified. (Thought they have already done that as Bob appears to have gone mute on the subject)

I can see it now, the CWU negotiators will come out of the meeting holding a polished dog turd.

"Moya has given us this magic dog's egg. It had the power to ward off evil, in-fact since I have been holding it nobody has come near me, and all I had to give up was your holiday pay, driving allowance and D2D supp. "
