Anyway, I passed and seem to have got the role. However, I'm basically taking a gap year and will be applying for uni, for which I may have to attend interviews so my concern is that they might terminate my contract if I can't re-arrange the interviews. The 2 strikes and you're out rule seems a bit harsh......you can't even take any days off when you're ill but then the whole presentation they gave when we arrived gave me the impression that they don't seem to care a great deal about their temporary workers, or at least, that we don't seem to have many rights. It is pretty much an unskilled job so I guess you can't expect much more than the NMW but is it true that they can fire you if you don't make the improvements to your performance expected within their time frame? I seem to recall from that you had to achieve an TPH of 450 with over 80% accuracy to pass on the assessment day but then that you would have to achieve a higher TPH on the training day and an even higher one 1 or 2 weeks into the job......does anyone know what exactly these targets are? Also, if anyone would like to/ could tell me anything about the role i.e. what to expect.....etc, that would also be much appreciated. Ta!
