Airport Mail Screeners

Post by fido69r »

Does anyone know what to expect at the assesment day for this position?
The assessment consists of two short tests, one to test your observational skills and the other to test your spelling and grammar. The latter is self explanatory, however, what does the first one invlove? Any current screeners care to share their experience. I'm wondering if it's the video and answers chestnut, or the xray screenex test used by airport security applicants....all help appreciated.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Is it too much to expect a sensible answer on here then?

No but the target audience, other Airport Mail Screeners, is very small and we may not have any on here to give you a definitive answer.

As to the insensible answers, we are quite lighthearted on here which sometimes means you'll get joke replies, nothing is meant by it - its just the way RMC has developed. When it gets too bad we issue warnings and lock threads/delete OT posts as appropriate.

Good luck with the query though, and the test.

I'm no stranger to humour...Was just hoping I would get some feedback on it fast as I'm going in a few days time..fore-armed, and all that.
Never mind, I'm sure it's easy. They should intoduce psychometric tests...but then again, they probably wouldn't have any staff if they done that

Certainly agree with you in relation to Managerial appointments. Aptitude tests for anything above OPG/Postman grade should be a pre-requisite, mind you if they did it retrospectively I think there would be plenty of retrenchment for the CMA to deal with.
