Post by jonzillaz »

Hello to you all, Im currently unemployed and would like to know if there are any jobs at Plymouth MDEC at present. Furthermore how I'd get in touch with them too. Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards.

You can search and setup email notifications if a job crops up if none available right now.

Blimey, do they not employ anyone on a permanent contract anymore?

Only 'backroom staff' are likely to be full-time positions .. frontline troops get short changed in the hours department big time!

And as for permanent contracts, I suspect RM may find themselves accused of mis-representation given all the doom and gloom surrounding RM's long-term future at present :whistle

As a Moderator I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that the accepted ethos of RoyalMailChat is to ignore any grammatical or spelling errors in posts unless member use Textese.

It would therefore be bad manners if someone pointed out that "comprehension" would be a better choice than "reading".

I hope you see the humour in my reply.

I think it's the thread name - It should read 'Any Vacancies'......................and I am the grammar nazi :nervous although if you ever talked to my school teachers they would tell you otherwise :chuckle :chuckle

I thought it was a typo error - but if you want to work on MDECs you probably need fairly good keyboard skills.

There were positions going advertised end January 2010, but you had to be quick.............don't know how many they took on. Vacancies don't come up very often and you have to do the on-line test..........and they would only take the best performers. It's like trying to get into Fort Knox !! And if you get in - don't expect to be able to take any leave when you want it. Getting time off is extremely difficult. Not a bad place to work though, pretty friendly. I was permanent there until I had to leave as I couldn't get time off. Such a shame. As a casual last Xmas I found it very quiet in there and normally it's hectic.......so it's not looking good.
